Is SmarterUni a replacement for university?

+

It can be — and many of our students treat it that way — but it doesn't have to be. Plenty of learners run a track alongside their degree, during a gap year, or after graduation to specialise. The credential stacks either way.

Who builds the tracks?

+

Brands. Real ones — the companies that hire for the role being taught. Every track has a named brand author and a working mentor. No anonymous course-mills.

Is the credential recognised?

+

By the brands that authored the tracks, yes — automatically. They are the recognition. Beyond that, every Serial is publicly verifiable: an employer can confirm authenticity in one click on smarteruni.com.

How old do you have to be?

+

Most tracks are open to learners 16+. A few intro tracks are open to 14+. Minors get parental-consent flows and additional safety controls.

How big is a cohort?

+

Typically ~20 learners. Big enough to have a real room. Small enough that the mentor knows your name and your work.

How long does a track take?

+

Six to ten weeks of part-time work (5–10 hours / week). A few intensive tracks compress to four weeks full-time.

Do you collect or sell student data?

+

We never sell data. Brands see exactly what you publish on your public profile — and nothing more. Internal cohort messaging is private and retained only for safety review.

What if I can't afford a track?

+

Many tracks are fully sponsored by the brand. We also keep a small needs-based scholarship fund — write to hello@smarteruni.com.

Where are you based?

+

Berlin and San Francisco. The product is global, English-first, with localised cohorts launching in 2026.
